The process is simple.
Start with chicken.
Cut the chicken into cubes and slice it into strips.
Place the strips in a large bowl and cover with water.
Add the salt, garlic, onion and a tablespoon of the stock, stir to combine and bring to a boil.
Once the liquid has reached a boil, reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes.
Then turn the heat down to low and simmer until the chicken is tender and no longer pink.
Add in the stock and simmer again for 20 minutes.
The stock will make the chicken tender and you can remove it from the pot if you like.
Meanwhile, add the shredded chicken and season with salt and pepper to taste.
If you prefer, you can add a little more of the chicken stock, and it will be even better.
